they're like an onion but not so strong. You use them in soups or in a casserole where you don't want so much onion flavor. I have used them a few times when I've been cooking and worried about people NOT liking a lot of onions. They're actually really good. You've actually had a leek before because I made it in the soups before! You could easily make soups with them and freeze it! They give off more of a sweet taste and they're really silky when you cook them!
