What is this???

Calling all you veggie lovers! I picked up my bountiful basket this week and found these...
My first thought was that it was a leek, but I'm not sure. I googled it, but couldn't figure it out. Can anyone help me out here???

they're like an onion but not so strong. You use them in soups or in a casserole where you don't want so much onion flavor. I have used them a few times when I've been cooking and worried about people NOT liking a lot of onions. They're actually really good. You've actually had a leek before because I made it in the soups before! You could easily make soups with them and freeze it! They give off more of a sweet taste and they're really silky when you cook them!

So, is it a leek then? You want to send me that soup recipe? Thanks Brooke!
