More Layouts and a Christmas Tag

Since Tom ditched us and went to Portland, I have had some time on my hands to finish off the Christmas pictures I had. He was suppose to be home tonight, but there is horrible weather in the northwest and his flight was cancelled:( I am so sad, but I am just hoping he gets a flight before Christmas Eve...Thank goodness for his Aunt Debbie and his cousins, or I would be going crazy. They are so nice to include me in their family:)

So here are some layouts-
These are all the snowmen I have accumulated over the last couple years. They are my favorite! And now here is a cute Christmas Tag I found on my cousins blog...

2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial. We got the best pre-lit tree last year and I LOVE IT!

3. When do you put up the tree? The day after Thanksgiving.

4. When do you take the tree down the tree? After New Year's.

5. Do you like egg nog? YUCK! Tom likes it though...Him and his brother mix it with Mt. Dew:)

6. Favorite gift received as a child? Anything to do with Super Nintendo , my sister and I were obsessed with it.

7. Do you have a nativity scene? Yep, two of them. My grandma got me a really cool one this year that I LOVE!

8. Hardest person to buy for? Probably my sister, she already has EVERYTHING!

9. Easiest person to buy for? Braden for sure, I love shopping for him!

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Usually mail, but skipped this year. I'll be sending out baby announcements in a couple months:)

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Hmmmmmm....I can't think of one.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Definitely Christmas Vacation, but a close second is It's a Wonderful Life.

13. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Anything my mom makes or bakes.

14. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Clear

15. Favorite Christmas song? Mary Did you Know by Clay Aiken

16. Travel at Christmas or stay home? I love to go places, but as long as I am with family I don't care where I am.

17. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? We open one(usually pj's)Christmas Eve then the rest in the morning.

18. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Oh, I don't think anything is- I love it!

Yeah, finally a new post!! We have been up to our ears in CHRISTMAS! Tom has been hanging Christmas lights for people around Phoenix while Braden and I stay home listening to Christmas music, decorating the house, and trying(unsuccessfully) to make fudge. Plus all the Christmas parties and shopping where I found these cute pj's from Children's Place... Last night we went to the Mesa Temple lights. It was so cold, 48 degrees:) Haha.

The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

I really should have just stayed in bed yesterday. Braden woke up at 3 am puking. In the morning he ate his breakfast just fine and he seemed to be doing better so I thought it was just something he ate. I decided to take him to the gym...Bad idea. The minute I walked in he puked all over me. We came home and he crashed. Again, when he woke up he was just fine. I decided to keep my doctors apt and dropped Braden off at Tom's cousin Brooke's house. When I got back we hung out and had dinner until about 8 pm because our husbands were in Tempe hanging Christmas lights. I was in a rush to get home and when I strapped Braden into his car seat I threw the keys in the front seat. Somehow it hit the lock button and I didn't realize it until it was too late. Braden was locked in the car!! This is my worst nightmare, I totally panicked! I ran back into Brooke's house to see if I could drive her car to my house to get the spare key, but then I realized my house was locked and the garage door opener and house key were in the car!! I had no choice but to call 911. They first sent over a policeman, but he had no tools to do anything. In the meantime I called our insurance company to send roadside assistance. The closest person they had was over 30 min away. Then the firemen showed up and did what they could, but BMW's are locked up tight! After about 35 minutes Braden threw up, so they sent for an ambulance. I told them he was sick, but he wanted to think there was something more wrong. I felt so helpless and sad for him. This was all my stupid fault! They were just about to break the window when the locksmith finally showed up. It took him about 10 minutes, but he got it! I was so relieved. Braden was pretty upset, but he was mostly just exhausted. They checked him out and said he was good to go, they even gave him his own fireman's hat. He fell asleep in my arms five minutes later. It all sucked pretty bad, but it could have been so much worse. I am so glad it wasn't summer and that they didn't have to break a window. I just gotta thank Brooke for staying with me and keeping me calm. And for taking the pictures even though they were laughing at her:) So yeah- that was my day... I definitely learned my lesson and won't be letting that happen again!

Give Thanks

Sorry for the late blog post....I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We sure did!! We headed to St. George last Monday and got home last night. My grandparents have a house there and it is a great meeting point for all my family from Rexburg. We were so busy eating, shopping, going to the movies, eating, going to the Temple, eating, going on walks, did I mention eating... I feel like that's all I did. There was also a LOT of shopping, I love all the outlets and who doesn't love Tai Pan?? It was so much fun and I am so thankful for the chance to spend time with my family. I don't know why, but I am having a really hard time remembering to take pictures. I only got one of Braden eating Thanksgiving dinner. It is so cute though, I made two pages...

Feels So Good

I really can't believe I am putting this on my blog for the whole world to see, but I am just so happy it is done...My closet was totally out of control--Everything was such a mess and I couldn't find anything!! I have been putting off cleaning it for months, but tomorrow there is a pick-up for donations, and I thought it would be a good excuse to finally get it all done. Here are all the clothes I had in my teeny-tiny closet, and this doesn't even include the clothes I had on hangers.
After a couple of hours I had a fully organized closet. I can't stand how little it is, but I have to deal with what I've got:) The best part is I got three trash bags full of clothes and shoes for those who need them.

Breaking News

We had the big ultrasound yesterday!! They had a REALLY hard time seeing what it was, but they think it's a girl. I've had the feeling it was a girl from the beginning, so we will just keep going with it... I go back for another ultrasound at 28 weeks so then we can take another look to see if it is going to be baby Brooklyn or baby Brock:)

We are Oregon!

Last Saturday Tom and I and his bros Sam and Grant headed to the Oregon vs ASU game in Tempe. It was an AWESOME game!! Ducks won it 54-20!! The Ducks haven't had a great year, so it was a good win! Even though we were in AZ, we were in good company with all the Oregon fans there. Since it was a night game and we didn't get home until 1 am, Braden stayed the whole night with Tom's cousin Troy and Brooke!! Thanks again so much you guys!! I was pretty nervous to leave him for that long, but when we went to pick him up Sunday morning he acted like he didn't even know us and did not want to leave at all! I was a little offended, but I am glad he had so much fun! Until next year my Duckies!!

Fun Stuff

Okay, I am done!! This weekend was pretty uneventful so I had tons of time to finish scrapping all the pictures I had neglected. A couple weeks ago my friend Jessica and I went to this Art Museum in Mesa, they had this really fun kids center called ArtVille. It was super cute, and the kids LOVED it!!

Last weekend Grandpa Rick (Tom's Dad) came for a visit. On Saturday we went to Schnepf Farms, this time of year it is so stinkin fun!! They have carnival rides, a pumpkin patch, a petting zoo, a hay ride, all kinds of animal shows, pony rides, a huge playground, a train ride, mini golf, and tons of yummy food!! We went at like 5 pm so it was too dark to take pics of everything, but here are a few pages of the fun...

Then Sunday was Braden's 2nd Birthday!! It was such a great day!! Church bright and early at 8 am, then we had yummy enchiladas for lunch. It was such a nice day we were able to go on a walk without sweating to death. I just wanted to have a fun time without stressing a ton, so instead of a huge party, we just had the Garlock fam over for cake and ice cream!! I made Better than 'you know what' cake. It was nice and messy for the 2 year old! Thanks to you who could make it and for all the fun stuff!! Braden got a b-ball hoop from gramps, a fun tow truck from grandma Debbie, and a Target giftcard from Kasey & Shawna. Grandma Stacie got him TONS of winter clothes, since he has none! Uncle Sam got him some sweet Air Jordans- The kid LOVES shoes!! Grandma Larry-Anne got him cowboy boots and a shirt and his friends Austin and Carter got him 2 remote control cars. Then we got him a hawaiian elmo that does the hokie-pokie, books, 3 cars, a big bouncy ball, a baby Einstein movie, and another HUGE elmo- it is almost as big as him! Not bad for a two year old:)

Other big news--he is no longer in a crib! He was able to climb out of his crib at like 9 months, but he didn't really start doing it until a month ago. I figured it was time to move to a toddler bed... I haven't found one yet, so I just pulled out his crib mattress and put it on the floor. It is kind of ghetto, I know, but he absolutely loves it! Here is a shot of him with giant elmo-his bedtime friend. I will have to get some cuter pictures when I get around to buying him the real thing...

On Monday we went in for his 2yr old check-up. He weighed in at a whopping 26 lbs and is 34 inches tall! My little boy is growing up, sigh.

Yay!!! It's Fixed...

Thanks for everyone's help with the dishwasher dilemma! After two long weeks and many towels later, its finally fixed!! We learned three very important things....

1. Always clear out the disposal before running the dishwasher
2. Don't ever put Drano in a clogged dishwasher
3. Make sure the water is turned off before you unhook the hose to the dishwasher
So yeah, we are all good now...
Things have been crazy around here and I have been a total blog slacker... It was Braden's Birthday last Sunday and I didn't even get a chance to give him a shoutout!

This is just one of the pics from our AWESOME weekend! Now that things have calmed down I am going to get to work on scrapping all of them. So stayed tuned.....

Money Down The Drain

Okay- I am in major need of some ideas to help me with this:

This is one thing that I can NOT live without for very long. A couple days ago when I went to unload the dishwasher I noticed it hadn't drained all the way out, so I decided to run it one more time to see if it would go down. No luck, it just made it worse!! I took off all the pieces and used a cup to get most the water out so I could get a better look, but I couldn't find anything that would have clogged it. I always rinse off the dishes before I put them in, so I don't understand what could have happened. Yesterday we poured a whole bottle of this stuff

over the drain, but it didn't do anything!! Has this ever happened to anyone else?? Please help!! I will try anything....I really don't want to have to to pay a plumber unless I absolutely have to. THANKS:)

And We're Back....

What a LONG couple weeks it has been. It was a very busy vacation to say the least. Lots of shopping, cooking, baking, setting up, taking down, and cleaning up for: two receptions, an endowment, a dinner after the endowment, a sealing, a wedding luncheon, and a ward social!! Plus we helped my grandparents move into their new house. It was craziness, but tons of fun! I love to be busy with lots of things going on, so this was the perfect trip. Plus it kept my mind off morning(all day) sickness. With all of this madness I wasn't able to take many pictures.....okay, I didn't even take one:( I am so bad! But as soon as my sister gets her wedding/reception pictures back I will for sure scrap and post some of them.

Prego update- Everything is great! For those of you who didn't know, we had a little bit of a scare with the last ultrasound, I had to get some extra tests done and see a specialist. But after anxiously waiting for 2 weeks, we got some good news! Yay!! Thanks for all your support and prayers! Another plus is that I am over 13 weeks now and finally starting to feel some relief from the morning sickness. I was even able to get back to the gym today, hooray!!! Well nothing much else going on here....We are just going to hang out for awhile and pray that this summer will be over soon:) 110 degrees in September almost October, C'MON!!

Where Do I Begin??

I am so sorry about the looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong blog break.....I am horrible about keeping secrets, so I will just make it official....Yeah-I'm Pregnant!!! We are super excited! I am 11 weeks and my due date is April 7, seems like forever away!! I have been feeling gross pretty much since day one. I have had no desire to even check my email let alone scrapbook and blog. Any spare second I have in the day I use to take a nap or clean my house. For some reason this time around I am SO EXHASTED!! Taking care of a almost 2 year old while pregnant isn't quite as easy as I thought it would be. Wow, I have so much to catch up on, it is kind of overwhelming, so I'm not even going to try. Although-I do have one thing that I was able to finish-

My litttle boy is growing up so fast--"We had Sunday dinner with the Garlocks on Sunday and Braden graduated from the highchair to the kiddie table!! Yeah, Go Braden!!"

We are headed to SLC/Rexburg tomorrow for 10 days. My cute little sis is getting married to Brandon on Sept. 18!! Yeah--We are so happy for them!
So I promise I will have LOADS of pics to scrapbook when I get back. Hope you are all doing well!

Mad Scrapper!

Both the kids I usually babysit for have been out of town this last week, so I have had a ton of time to scrap! Here are my latest layouts...

This is the page I did for this week's challenge. You had to use pics of yourself...
I have been wanting to get some pics of Braden playing with his legos wagon for the longest time. It is his FAV!Last Saturday Tom went to the store for me and came home with LOTS of goodies not on the list:) First were all these new balls and a hoop for Braden. He has had a blast! This is another one of Tom's purchases. It is still a little hot here to be having a fire, but it was still a good time!
